ABOUT Miss Zot

 

Most importantly I am a Mom of two wonderful girls ages 3 & 5 and a wife. Secondly, I am an artist - with a degree focused on painting and ceramics.

 

After having children and working on Art/Craft projects with them I realize that not everyone has the time, knowledge and patience to work with their children on hands-on messy projects. Younger children are more motivated to work on art through STEAM processes in a relaxed environment. Bringing Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math into one class while working with your hands connected me to my ceramic roots.

Science: atomic structure of clay and glazes        Technology: mold-making processes, manufacturing

Engineering: designing & developing products

Art: both functional objects & decorative sculptures

Math: shrinkage, volume and symmetry in design
